Susan Lomas P. Geo
Susan Lomas graduated from Concordia University (QC, Canada) with a B.Sc. in Geology (Specialization) and her first job out of university was as a beat geologist at ASARCO’s Aquarius Gold Mine in Timmins Ontario.
She remained in Timmins for the next 10 years working for various exploration companies in the region (Homestake Expl., Noranda Exploration, BHP, and Cyprus-Amax) and the Yellowknife area for Royal Oak focussing on gold exploration.
Susan then began taking international assignments to build 3D geological models and supervise QAQC programs in Mexico, Ghana, Venezuela and finally Russia.
Susan was invited to join AMEC Consulting in Vancouver in 2000. During her 5 years with AMEC, she focused on all aspects of mineral resource estimation and geological modeling. More specifically, Susan has worked on numerous gold, copper, potash, nickel laterite and base metal projects while at AMEC including,
